35 years old, from Genoa, “bandauthor”.

He was a contestant at Premio Tenco in 1993 and at the 1994 summer edition of Ricaldone. In the same year he won the Premio Regionale Ligure in the songwriters’ cathegory.

His musical journey takes him to explore contaminations between songwriting and other forms of expression, mainly theatre.

He has written two shows, monologues and songs, together with Luca Bizzarri and Paolo Kessisoglu of the “Iene” television show, who, at the time, were at the beginning of their career and still relatively unknown.

In 1995 he was invited to perform his recital at the International Theatre Festival of Ventimiglia and at the Festival dell’Umorismo of Bordighera, he has been among the guests of the exhibition “Tu musica divina” at Palazzo delle Esposizioni of Rome where he represented the new generation of the Genoan school of songwriters and has also appeared in the Rai television show “Uno mattina estate”.

He wrote the show “Delitti esemplari – Concerto per Max Aub” in association with  Teatro della Tosse of Genoa and director Sergio Maifredi and toured in many Italian theatres (among them we find “Filodrammatici” in Milan, “Juvarra” in Turin, “Teatro Artisti” in Rome) and was then invited to perform his show at the 1997 Festival Teatrale di Todi.

The following year he staged “Leggende metropolitane in concerto” together with Giorgio Gallione, who was a member of Teatro dell’Archivolto.

After travelling to Eastern Europe, he adds ethnic and folk contaminations to his music. In his concerts he is accompanied by the “Molotov Orchestra”, an ensemble of extraordinary musicians who come from very different musical and artistic backgrounds. The concert becomes a multi-art show where ethnic music, songwriting and street theatre all come together.

He later moved to Turin where he started to work together with Bruno Gambarotta and wrote the music for several theatre shows.

His first record “Onde clandestine”, which he produced together with Giangilberto Monti, was released in June 2002.

In the following November he was invited to represent “Genova 2004 – Città della Cultura” in the music section, at the “Musica e Poesia” event in Munich (Germany).

In March 2004 he was invited to perform at the Festival della Musica di Mantova and won the Premio della Critica Festival di Recanati 2004. He is currently working on his upcoming second CD which will be released shortly.

A META' STRADA tra i BALCANI e il WEST

A concert where every song becomes a small movie and where the Molotov Orchestra, with its enthralling energy and musical vortex, takes your hand and leads you to fall deep inside Federico Sirianni’s characters, getting under their skin and into their stories, their ups and downs and their own worlds.

It is a canvas bursting with violent colours where songwriting meets popular music and street theatre, it’s a wave of energy that grows and travels incessantly back and forth between the stage and the audience.

The musical atmospheres are constantly shifting, it’s an endless journey that goes from the Balkanic rhythms of gipsy orchestras to the sounds of North African suqs and bazaars, from the accordions and the violins of Irish pubs to the soothing colours of Central America rum houses, from the steamiest blues of Mississippi’s riverboats up to the songwriting tradition of his own hometown, Genoa.

Sirianni has been widely recognized by critics and music experts as one of the best Italian songwriters and moves around in this vortex of sounds with his lively, ironic, poetic and always original songwriting, telling stories about marginal and ordinary lives, romantic loves, noir and borderline characters
