Class,musicality,and fun;Wendy Lewis and the
Funquintet offer these qualities and more in an hour and a half
of their unique show.Influences of classic jazz,blues and even
hip hop converge to give birth to their new sound.The band then
gives the audience the opportunity to define this sound after
having heard them,because its all based on pure energy and the
interaction between their musical energy and the vibrations of
the audience.
WENDY D.LEWIS: Cantante
born in Gary,Indiana,U.S.A.Inextricably linked to the sounds and
soul of her birthplace,Wendy studied voice at the Juilliard
School Of Music in New York City.In the various international
music festivals in which she has participated,Wendy has shared
the same stage as some of the worlds historic musical giants
such as Earth Wind and Fire,Al Jarreau,Dianne Reeves and Herbie
Hancock.In Italy she found success as author and voice of "Wavs
of Luv",the hit remake of Loredana Berte',"In Alto Mare".She has
collaborated with Ivana Spagna,Nek,Irene Grandi,Raf,Alexia,Mike
Francis.The director Lina Wertmuller chose her as principal
voice in the theatre show "Caligola".She also made her cinematic
debut in the film "Il Mio Miglior Nemico"(My Best Worst Enemy)by
Italian film giant Carlo Verdone.

(Piano & Keybords)
Studied classical and jazz piano.He won a scholarship to
Siena Jazz.He is the pianist for the band Adika Pongo and
has played with many artists:Norma Jean Wright and Luci
Martn(LeChic),Mike Francis,Orlando Johnson,Stefano Sabatini,Max
Ionata,Aldo Bassi,Claudio Mastracci,Eugenia Munari,Franceso
Puglisi. |
Eddy Palermo
(Guitar) Considered one of
the most important references for jazz guitar in Italy.He
collaborates with great brazilian artists such as Rosalia De
Souza and Thoninho Horta.he has played with chet Baker,Joe
Pass,Jese Roberto Betrami,Stefano di Battista,Niki Nicolai. |
Antonello Altieri
(Sax) Began his studies
with Daniele Scannapieco.In 2003 he won the Italian National
Baronissi Jazz contest.He has played at the Copenhagen Jazz
Festival.He has played with Andy McKee,Jerry Popolo,Giovanni
Amato,Dario Deidda,Tommaso Scannapieco. |

Marco Loddo (Bass) Has participated in
many important events such as the European Youth festival in
Ankara,and the Malta Jazz Festival.He has played Renzo
Arbore,Steve Grossman,Aldo Romano,Rosario Giuliani,Ben
Sidran,Bobby Durham. |
Roberto Pistolesi
(Drums) He earned his
diploma in music at the Music University of Rome,and has
played with George Garzone,Micheal Supnick,Andy Gravish,Claudio
